Responsive
Testing
Responsive testing checks whether a website is cross-browser compatible or not and whether it adjusts appropriately to different screen sizes and resolutions or not. As per an estimate, more than 50% users access the web through smartphones and tablets, and it’s essential that websites’ design is responsive. Some of this testing is done at actual devices available in our testing lab, while for others, we use simulators e.g. browserstack. When deciding the testing scope, we are forthright with our clients about the actual devices where responsive testing is carried.

Performance
Testing
No matter how complicated or sophisticated a functionality is being provided by a website or an app, if it doesn’t respond within specified time, it might be abandoned by the end-users. Or, it might work for a small set of users on usual days but not for a wide group of users when the usage is maximum e.g. on Black Friday sale. Performance testing is needed to find such vulnerabilities so that infrastructure can be optimized and such problems can be proactively prevented.

Platform Compatibility Testing
An application might work perfectly in chrome but not in firefox. A specific feature might work seamlessly in iOS but not in Android. Product landing page for an ecommerce store might appear perfectly in a certain version of Windows but not in others. ‘Buy now’ button might appear perfectly in an Apple phone but not in a Samsung phone. Platform compatibility testing is performed to ensure that these glitches don’t impact the user experience and users across different browsers, devices, operating systems and ocalization settings have the same experience and functionality available to them.
